Letter Similarity Data Set Archive

About

This web site archives data from many published experiments on letter similarity. It is presents stimuli and data from many different attempts to capture the similarity structure of the alphabet. Not all identified data sets have been transcribed and placed in this on-line archive.

References for complete list are available here.

A paper based on some of this work is published in Acta Psychologica. Mueller, S. T. & Weidemann, C. T. (2012). Alphabetic Letter Identification: Effects of perceivability, similarity, and bias. Acta Psychologica, 139, 19-37. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.actpsy.2011.09.014
